This Privacy Policy explains how the Moving Box Tracker: Find Items app ("Box Tracker", "the app", "we", "us") handles your information. By using Box Tracker you agree to this policy.
Information the app stores
Box Tracker is built so your moving data stays with you. The boxes, rooms, items, tags, photos, and notes you create are stored:
- On your device, and
- In your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit, so your data syncs across your own devices and can be shared with people you invite to a move.
We do not operate our own servers that collect or store this content, and we do not have access to it.
Shared moves
When you share a move with another person, the boxes and items in that move are shared through Apple's CloudKit sharing. Only the people you invite can see it. You can stop sharing at any time from within the app.
Camera and photos
Box Tracker uses your camera to scan QR codes and to let you attach photos to a box. Camera access is only used while you are actively using those features. Photos you add are stored with your move data — on your device and in your personal iCloud account — and are never uploaded anywhere else.
Dictation
You can dictate item names instead of typing them. This uses your microphone and Apple's speech recognition, which may process audio on Apple's servers depending on your device and settings. The microphone is only active while you are dictating, audio is not stored, and only the resulting text is kept with your box.
Purchases
Box Tracker offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock Pro features. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. To keep track of what you've unlocked, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives purchase receipt information and a random, anonymous app-generated identifier — never your name, email, or payment details.
Analytics & diagnostics
To understand which features are used and improve the app, Box Tracker sends anonymized usage events (for example, "a label was printed") to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. These signals are anonymous: they contain no names, no emails, no advertising identifiers, and nothing about the contents of your boxes, and they are never used to track you across other apps or websites.
Data we do not collect
Box Tracker does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email, and does not sell or share your information with advertisers.
Children's privacy
Box Tracker is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
